email from my little man

I LOVE getting these emails from my son. I walked in last night while he was typing it, and he threw his hands over the screen so I couldn’t see it. I was happily surprised this morning when I got it. It’s so fun with him having his own email. If you’ll notice it’s typed in a list. Everything is typed in a list from him. Guess he’s organized like Mom :P

  1. I love you
  2. you are the best mom!!
  3. you are so cool
  4. ciao,
  5. (his name)

Last night we made Dessert Pizza as a trial for his birthday treats. He loved it so that’s what I’ll be making for treats for school next Friday. His birthday party is going to be at the bowling alley this year. Two years ago we did it at home and EVERYBODY spent the night – yes I had 12 kids! Woah! That was certainly entertaining. Last year we did it at home again, but with not so many kids. This year… I’m glad we’ve chosen to do it elsewhere. I’m sure he’ll end up with a couple kids spending the night, but a couple will be just fine.

UPDATE: I just had to throw this in here… two seaches that found me yesterday were…

odd boobs: Now come on people – I know I whine and complain DAILY that my boobs are small, but odd? Na.
picture of a donkey kicking a man: I’d hate to be the man in this picture.

wigs?

I learned something new today! While getting my hair cut we were discussing wigs. I DID NOT know people wore wigs just because! I guess I can forget trying to grow long hair – I’ll just buy a wig! hehe :P But seriously I did not know this! Did you? Do you know anybody who wears a wig everyday that doesn’t have an illness requiring them to wear a wig?

I was telling a friend about this today and she said she’d heard of it but didn’t know anybody. Wouldn’t it be terribly itchy and hot?! I guess I could have that long curly hair I’ve always wanted. I looked at one today, it was gorgeous. So for all those ladies who have fabulous hair everyday and now I know some of them… I won’t be jealous of your hair anymore – it’s fake!!

dilemma…

Yesterday I was faced with a dilemma… As I sat at the school waiting for my son to come out. I noticed a car turn the corner with a little boy standing between the front seats jumping around. I realized instantly that it was my friend’s Grandma. Grandma watches the little guy everyday while Mom’s at work. This is one thing that’ll send me over the edge pissed off – I can’t stand to see little kids standing up in cars, not buckled in. Or those parents who ride around with their kids on their laps :-( Ooooooh that makes me SO mad! Knowing my friend… her kid is ALWAYS buckled up. In fact one time when I was picking him up – I was making sure we’d either have our own car-seat or I’d have to borrow hers, she made a comment to me that she was always fine with him going with me because she knew he’d always be buckled up. So now I’m faced with telling her that her Grandma was allowing him to stand up in the car while she was driving. My friend can be a VERY not nice person so I’m dreading telling her and I’m not even sure how I’m going to tell her. I don’t want to just call her up and say – Guess what! Yesterday I saw your Grandma with your little guy and he wasn’t buckled up. I almost feel like I’m being a little tattle-tale. BUT… If they were ever in a wreck and that little guy was hurt because he wasn’t buckled up I’d feel like the world’s biggest piece of crap for NOT telling her. She’s just not an easy person to tell things to… so here goes it – I’m off to talk to her.

UPDATE as of now… Since I told her she has not spoken to me. She was talking to me all morning – haven’t heard from her since… SHIT! My feelings on this… I guess if she’s going to be pissy that’s her deal. She was the one who talked about ALWAYS having her kid buckled up. This is a Mom who says if you have her kid and anything happens to him while in your care you’re done for… ummm okay. Trust me – it was scary sometimes… gawd forbid he fall and scape his knee. Anyway… I’ve told her very nicely what I saw and I can’t take it back. At least I’ll feel better knowing I told. I’d feel like total crap, like I said before, if they were in a wreck and he was hurt. Also… I told because I’d want to be told if that were my kid.

baby due date…

So last night it hit me – baby’s due in July… 7th month and it’s 2007, which means I’ve gotta pop this baby out on the 7th! That’d be 07-07-07! How fun would that be! I guess I was so stuck with July 9th (my actual due date) in my head that I didn’t even think of 07-07-07 until last night. I’m going to talk to my doctor at my next appt and see if he’s up for inducing me on the 6th and hopefully I’d have baby on the 7th. I was induced with my son because my doctor was going to be leaving town and I didn’t want anybody else. That was one of the first things I checked when I called my new doctor now, was that he didn’t have any vacations planned around that time. He’s getting married about a month before so he better make it back safely from his honeymoon! :P

The weekend wasn’t extremely eventful. We had the spelling bee and I’m not sure what happened, but my son didn’t even act like he wanted to be there. He wasn’t excited like he was last year at all. He went out extremely fast on a VERY simple word and didn’t care at all! hunt…hund Not a clue what happened. He came walking into where we were sitting, grabbed his coat, handed me the paper saying what he spelled wrong and walked out. This is very unusual for him. Maybe next year will be different. :-( Mom was more sad than he was! hehe Typical Mom – feeling bad.

We’ve begun the Valentine’s (Box) Plane… boy oh boy what have we gotten ourselves into. Thanks to my Zia for the idea to paper mache it. Thanks to my husband for the construction work on it. And thanks to me for cleaning up all the styrofoam! hehe It was really messy. I’ve never done paper mache before so this is an experience for me. The guys had both done it so I’m glad they knew what was going on. Here they are working on the first layer… So by the end of the week – we should be ready for paint and fun stuff. My foam wings are going to work after all… we added dowels for support! This is definitely not an original Valentine’s Day box. Because heck no we can’t just wrap a cereal box – now what fun would that be. :P Will post more pics as we get closer to the final product! Can’t wait to see what we can come up with! If you have any ideas – throw them our way.
