fun trip to water park

This past weekend we surprised the boys with a trip out of town to a fun hotel with a water park. I don’t have much for pictures as I was having a horrible time with my camera. Red eye, blurriness, foggy lens, etc. Was not having good luck. The boys had a great time, even baby loved the slides! He went down with Daddy so Daddy could hold him up out of the water at the end. I also took my first trip down a water slide. Those things freak me out, I’m sure the slide it going to break or I’m going to fly right out the side. haha But it was fun, that fun moment where you’re so excited you just laugh and smile all the way down, just like a little kid! :-) SO much fun!

We learned more about big brother’s coughing. It may be asthma. He coughs a lot when going between different temperatures (air and water) and mostly at night when he lays down and some in the morning when he first wakes up. Went back to the doctor yesterday and he got him an inhaler to try. Last night he drank something hot and it helped so much he didn’t need the inhaler. Maybe it’s not bad enough right now and we can help it with something hot to drink every night before bed. Felt so bad for the little guy, he’d go between the hot tub and slides or pool and have to run to the bathroom puking because of the temperature changes. He still had a blast though.

We had the loudest room in the hotel, right by the stair well and door. I wanted to strangle rude people. The hotel is attached to the mall which is fun, but being in a different state… we didn’t realize everything shuts down at 7 pm! That’s insane. So we didn’t do much shopping, but the water park was fun and worth it. We did get stuff we needed for the office remodel so hopefully we can get going on that soon. I miss my office. It’s cold down here in the basement. :-)

coloring is hard work

Coloring on a present for Gramma was sure hard work.
Big brother helped me color and put stickers on.

picky eater

My picky little eater eats… bananas, pears, toast, cereal w/ milk, acini de pepe, chicken nuggets (very picky about these, sometimes he wants them whole and sometimes he wants them cut up, and you dang well better figure that out before hand), french fries (he KNOWS McDonalds is where we get him some fries, he let you pull away from the window and almost make it out of the parking lot before he’s reaching and begging for fries), grilled cheese (loves this!), cheese crackers and ritz crackers. He’s very picky about what he drinks too, apple and orange juice on occasion, milk (of course), water (with syrup in it), V8 Fusion or Splash and homemade lemonade. Mostly though he’s still pretty hooked to the bottle which is driving me insane. I don’t see it going away anytime too soon.

crib time

Here he is, just sitting in his crib reading. Everyday we do this for long periods of time. I’m glad he likes to read, but why can’t he do it somewhere else. Or with me? I also wish he’d realize this is his crib, he should sleep in there, not read in there. Silly boy. Every once in a while he’ll want me to play. Usually it’s with the jack in the box you see there. He’ll pop it out, using the button, he won’t sit and wind it. That takes too much time for him. No patience with this boy. Then he’ll hand it over the edge and want me to put him back in and then he’ll pop him out and I’ll put him in and we’ll do this for what seems like forever. But mostly he just wants me to sit in there. He’ll turn his aquarium on you see in the back and listen to music and dance around the crib. Or he’ll run back and forth. Or he’ll jump. Or he’ll just blabber. Or hide from me, pop over the edge and then peek between the bars.

new stuff

New things starting everywhere. The word NO is a huge part of baby’s vocabulary now. Uggg… (And I finally got kids back today and my little girl I babysit and love so much learned Why? ACK!) He also loves the word BOOM. He pretends to fall alot and then he’ll stand up with his hand on his head and want you to kiss it. It started from too much jumping on Mommy and Daddy’s bed. He kept hitting his head on the wall. Ouch. But now he just runs around the house and pretends to fall and says Boom and then holds his head and arm sometimes.

Last night Gramma was here to visit. Big brother had been chasing baby around and at one point baby was standing by the couch looking rather tired. Gramma asked him if he was pooped and right away he pointed and grabbed at his butt.

The toilet is a very cool thing right now too. He wants to be the one to flush when you’re done. He gets so excited standing there waiting and often tries many times before you’re done to flush. When he finally gets to he claps and laughs and says DONE.

He loves to walk funny too. He’ll squat down and walk with his legs spread wide. Reminds me of a sumo wrestler.

He also does this weird thing lately where he wants to be in his crib. He doesn’t want to sleep and he does NOT want to be left alone in there, he just wants to be in there. He turns his aquarium on and listens to music and reads books and plays toys. He wants you to sit on the floor by the crib or in the chair, just don’t leave. If I do he yells Mom and then starts crying. Yet if you try getting him out he shakes his head no and says NO.

Did I mention that word NO already…. yeah it’s driving me crazy already. I tried getting him down for nap and he said NO, shook his head no and then took off running from me. This is getting fun eh.

There are so many new things, I’ll think of more later. HUGS TO ALL!!
